Azerbaijan Manat, Azerbaijani currency

Le Manat Azerbaïdjanais est la monnaie de la République d’Azerbaïdjan. Le code ISO du Manat est AZN, et le symbole de la devise d’Azerbaïdjan est ₼. Le mot manat est emprunté au mot russe Монета « moneta » (pièce de monnaie) qui se prononce comme « manate » et est un mot emprunté au latin.
Le manat désigne plusieurs monnaies ayant eu cours en Azerbaïdjan, et la monnaie en usage actuellement depuis 2006 est le troisième manat.
Il est subdivisé en 100 gepik1 (en azéri – qəpik).
Depuis le 1er janvier 2006, la monnaie d’Azerbaïdjan en circulation est divisée en pièces de 1, 3, 5, 10, 20 et 50 qepiks et en billets de 1, 5, 10, 20, 50 et 100 manats.
