The CFA Franc of Central Africa
Since its creation in 1958, the CFA franc of Central Africa, a common currency inherited from colonial times, has been the official currency of the six member states of the Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC). The Central African CFA franc is the currency of Cameroon, Central African Republic, Republic of Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea and Chad.
